Curriculum of M2 Specialty - Fluid mechanics and non-linear physics

1st semester

During the first semester (starting around mid-September), two mandatory courses of 6 ECTS credits each are scheduled, followed by a variety of electives of 3 and 6 ECTS credits, based on the research carried out in the associated laboratories.

The schedule is set up in a way to allow each student to follow all proposed courses. The semester is validated by obtaining a total of 30 ECTS credits.

-  Core (2 mandatory courses)

-  Electives (for a total of 18 ECTS credits)

(*) shared with M2 Specialty "Two-phase flows, energetics and combustion"
(x) shared with the third-year track "Applied Mathematics" of Ecole Centrale Marseille
(+) shared with the third-year track "Fluids: Energy, Transport, Environment, Health" of Ecole Centrale Marseille

In addition to the above list, one or more courses related to physics or applied mathematics may be chosen among the ones proposed in other programmes or tracks, subject to acceptance by the directors.

Students are encouraged to follow the weekly seminars, organised in common between the IRPHE and IUSTI institutes.

2nd semester

Research internship (4-6 months), including a written report and an oral presentation/defence, for a total of 30 ECTS credits.
