M2 Specialty - Fluid mechanics and non-linear physics

The aim of this second-year specialty, which is also part of the Master programme "Physics" is to enable students to acquire a high-level scientific background in the fields of macroscopic physics and mechanics, with knowledge of analytical, experimental and numerical methods, for the study and modelling of physical phenomena far from equilibrium. The program provides a thorough training in fluid mechanics and non-linear physics, with a wide range of applications: growth phenomena, interface dynamics, multiphase and granular matter, aerodynamic, geophysical and marine flows, complex and/or turbulent flows, mixing, flame fronts, explosions, ...

This specialty is also available to international students, with lectures and/or lecture notes in English, depending on the audience.
